Most often, a lot of home-based job seekers  normally believe that even without adequate transcription experience, they can still become an effective transcriptionist.

Being  a transcriptionist, it requires a great level of attention to details, in-depth knowledge and impeccable listening skills. Home-based job seekers surmise  that they can easily meet these requirements. This is also as long as they can type 50 to 60 wpm with high level of accuracy, and they possess good communication and organizational skills, they can then have the making of a good transcriptionist.

In spite of the fact that some of them lack transcription experience in this field of work, one could say that he would definitely be able to do the job efficiently. For some, this is because of the similarities of the nature of their job to the activities of transcription.

For example, a person working as a communication assistant can bridge the communication gap between individuals who are deaf, hard of hearing or speech disabled and those people who are able to naturally hear and speak. They basically relay conversations between text (through online chat) and voice telephone users. Their job also includes taking messages from voice parties and sending them through email or relaying messages from recordings and answering machines by typing it to deaf users.

Above being the case, it somehow seems that transcriptionist and communication assistant both require similar qualifications for prospective employers .  Since home-based job seekers can be versatile enough in doing good in this job , the potential of their becoming successful in this field can be also as high, of course with a tinge of passion that should come with it.
